ROLE OBJECTIVES:

As Head of Business Development Corporation, you will need to:

  • Develop and lead Corp business development team and strategies to achieve set revenue growth, new leads.
  • Identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow.
  • Developing ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty.
  • Understand customers and potential customers’ needs and offer the appropriate services/solutions.
  • Motivating & collaborating with sales and account teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of products and services and innovating new ways to serve businesses.
  • Researching, assessing, and coordinating new products/services’ build to help BU grow for business and revenue. Responsible for managing the development and improvement of existing products and services, to better meet clients' needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Finance

  • Strategize with other Heads of Business Units to accomplish business growth goals.

Business Development

Market research & Analysis:

  • Research market & economics trends, competitors to identify potential industries to build new clients for growth opportunities.

Business development:

  • Identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Sales Channel Strategy (Alliance Partnerships, Client’s network, E-Commerce, etc.).
  • Commercial/Pricing Strategy.
  • Prioritizing and tracking investments across new product development initiatives.
  • Responsible for project managing/integrating new business ideas and/or acquisitions.
  • Develop and lead business development team and strategies to achieve set revenue growth, new leads.
  • Develop plan to transfer from new leads to close deals.
  • Shape and execute the gap plan with BD/sales members across BUs in conjunction with BU Heads.
  • Oversee the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful closure of business deals.
  • Promote and strengthen Talentnet way, enhancing entrepreneurship mindset from Talentnet employees via cross selling process.
  • New product development inputs and proposals.

Develop network & Explore market:

  • Develop partnership strategy from Talentnet’s networks for identifying new business opportunities.
  • Identifying and developing optimal revenue models, sales/distribution channels, pricing, and new product development strategies.
  • Identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships including financial arrangements, customer sharing, and intellectual property rights.
  • Establish high-level, significant relationships with potential clients, partners, key decision-makers, and industry leaders to promote the organization’s products, services and human capital solutions.
  • Be responsible for solidifying Talentnet’s presence in the local & regional marketplace through consistent participation in networking organizations and events.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior managerial level on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.

Product Development

  • Creates and manages the new product development pipeline portfolio, to ensure successive annual rollouts of value-added profitable HRO products/services, to achieve 5-year plan growth targets.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to drive the Customer Centric and Talentnet Core Value - Partnership to bring new products to market.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by analyzing and defining the total market, market share, competitor market share, and available market share by product market.
  • Provides leadership and support for the design, development, refinement, and implementation of products by initiating research to identify users’ needs; develop new services to meet their needs; research user acceptance of services; work with delivery teams to identify solution improvements, identify opportunities; develop introductory market programs to introduce new services; and lead status meetings to drive programs or new service initiatives to market. Periodically presents project updates to the leadership team.
  • Develops, maintains and updates new product development process to ensure organization are available to be well informed.
  • Handles all aspects of taking successful new product concepts through commercialization. Trains and qualifies BD Team to insure a coordinated and successful introduction.
  • Responsible for Performance Evaluation Analysis, activities to include: ​​​​​Post launch ROI validation – sales and cost performance validation, Customer/Market feedback, Champion identified improvements, Ensure key learnings and best practice are documented and shared institutionally.
  • Handles all client specific requests and brand line extension activities.
  • Provides timely communication between Sales, Marketing and Client Teams. Topics to include but not limited to syndicated data results, sell sheets, program updates and sales collateral materials.
  • Identifies, develops and analyzes of the project justification for capital projects related to cost savings, product improvements and new production capabilities tied to new product introductions.
  • Serve in cross-functional roles & responsibilities in support of corporate objectives.

Process/ Function

Service Excellence:

  • Be responsible for CRM system and customer service processes to continually improve customer service and make the planned changes quickly and effectively for improvement areas.
  • Develop sales framework, tool kits, applied for Sales/ BD nationwide.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to increase NPS year on year.
  • Coordinate with other business FHs to approach potential segments and customers.
  • Develop effective customer complaints system and process in place.

People

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team  to achieve established sales and business development goals.
  • Develop Operational model for business development function applied for the whole organization.
  • Develop and train business development and sales teams.
  • Coordinate effectively with Hanoi branch for business development activities in the North.

JURISDICTION:

  • Raise the recruitment request in accordance with the business operation needs. 
  • Manage team members (in terms of work hours, performance tracking, compensation and benefits, promotion) by the correct reporting line.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduated from University/College (preferably Business Administration, Economics, Law) Special cases will be approved by the line manager.
  • Outstanding track record in growing and developing successful sales teams and overachieving challenging sales targets.
  • 7-10 years working experience in the areas of HR Management, HR Consulting, HR Outsourcing, third party/service provider management, B2B sales management.
  • Strong Growth mindset to develop various innovative options for the project and Agile mindset to make quick alternative solutions, adjustments to process requirements, deadlines or particular assignments.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills to be able to develop strong working relationships with clients, companies, industrial parks, business associations.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management and strong influencing skills in order to make it happen.
  • An analytical mind and Critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
  • Holistic understanding of all HR general aspects and best practices along with keen interest in learning about business, catching the trend, opportunities to build the future business as this is a green field initiative.
  • Good communication skills and presentation skills – both written and verbal in English.
  • Good sales management experience skills (from planning, hunting, following up, winning new sales meet target).
  • MS Office high proficiency, Tech savvy mindset in order to learn and apply tech approach to develop products/services.
